Get the true picture as to what your business’ strengths and weaknesses really are, and what the opportunities and threats are that you should be considering and dealing with. All businesses should conduct an unbiased SWOT analysis at least once a year. Remember...your perceptions of your business may be very different from your customer's/client's perceptions and the best way to improve your business is to have an understanding of both.
SWOT analysis can be done by departments and/or divisions, as well as for the entire company.
The key is being seen as "unbiased". Too many times employees are reluctant to speak up to others in the company for fear of repercussions or even loss of job.
Some find it difficult to open up to others due to personal relationships. We also have found many examples of businesses where employees have never even been given the chance to express their views, or make suggestions. Just because an employee doesn’t hold a high position in the company l doesn't mean they aren't observant or don't have valuable inputs.
We have conducted SWOT analysis for many companies in various industries and we know how to extract meaningful information and develop a plan of attack for
dealing with the issues. We can separate the meaningful feedback from the "noise" and we can assist with the implementation and follow-up process as well.
We are careful to make sure all participants understand their comments will be noted, but that ownership/management always reserves the right to make the decisions they feel are best for the company.
